Now, just in case there is anyone in the Leicester area who doesn’t know where the grounds of the best Rugby Club in the country, if not the world, can be found, here is some more information on our fabulous venue.
The ground is actually called the Welford Road Stadium, so you might expect to find it on Welford Road. Or Aylestone Road, just to confuse people. The address is:
Aylestone Road Leicester LE2 7TR
For those without those fiddly talking things that give you the wrong directions, or Sat Navs, try these for help in how to find us:
By Car:
From M1 and M69
Leave the M1 at Junction 21 and follow the signs for the city centre via Narborough Road (A5460). After 3 miles, turn right at the cross-roads with Upperton Road. Continue over the River Soar, onto Walnut Street, and follow the signs to the city centre. The stadium is approximately 1/2 mile ahead
From A6
Follow the signs for the city centre, coming in via London Road. You come to a main set of lights opposite the entrance to the railway station (on the right), turn left onto Waterloo Way. Continue over the next set of traffic lights onto Tigers Way. You should be able to see the stadium immediately in front of you.
From A426
Follow the signs for the city centre, and you will approach the centre via Aylestone Road, so the ground will be on your right.
From A47 (East)
Follow the signs for the city centre, coming in via Uppingham Road. At the St George's Retail Park roundabout, take the second exit into St George's Way (A594). Continue past the Leicester Mercury offices on the right, and then filter off right onto Waterloo Way just before the Railway Station and then onto Tigers Way.
If you would rather come by rail, the stadium is approximately a ten minute walk from Leicester mainline station, along Waterloo Way.
If you are extremely enthusiastic about coming to The Leicester Baby and Toddler Fair, the nearest airport is East Midlands.
We look forward to seeing you there!
